Designed for dogs up to 11.5kg (25 pounds) and bicycles with at least 48 cm (19″) between the seat post and the handlebar stem. Includes all brackets and hardware to mount to bicycle.

Series 2 design features adjustments for front and back positioning right on the bucket itself, offering more extensive flexibility. The adjustable paw deck can be easily raised or lowered to suit your Buddy’s needs.

Can not be Mounted to Carbon Fiber Seat Post. If you have a carbon fiber seat post you must replace it with an aluminum or steel seat post.

Buddyrider bicycle dog carrier means you can take your buddy with you!

If you love taking your dog bike riding, the Buddyrider takes it to a whole new level. It’s safe, innovative design allows you and your dog to enjoy the experience of a bike ride – you never need to leave your best friend at home again!

Traditional bike pet carriers are either front or rear mounted, which can make the handling of your bike unstable. The Buddyrider is mounted directly over the centre of your bike, which distributes the weight of you and your pet evenly, allowing both of you to enjoy your bike ride in safety and comfort.

Will my dog fit the Buddyrider?

Our bicycle dog carrier is ideally suited to dogs up to 11.5kg (25 pounds) and is made to be as flexible as possible. However, some dog breeds fit better than others so the following information should be treated as a guide.

Is the Buddyrider suited to my bike?

To ensure that the Buddyrider fits your bike well, we’ve provided a fitting guide.

  • Your bike will need a rigid seat post, so if you currently have a suspension seat post, you will need to replace this. Most bike stores have these available.
  • When the Buddyrider is fitted, you will need to mount your bike from the side directly over the seat.
  • You will need an aluminium or steel seat post, so if your bike has a carbon fibre seat post you will need to replace it. Again, most bike stores will be happy to assist you with this.
  • To ensure a secure fit, measure the exposed seat post below your seat. This should be between 2.54cm and 3.17cm in diameter. You will need at least 4.5cm exposed seat post to attach the Buddyrider to.
  • Measure at right angles to your seat post, ensuring you have 48.5cm clearance as shown in the diagrams.
